sign of the three eyed men

it's friday...you slither down the greasy pipe...so far so good.

all is fine and dandy here in 1965 land - just thought i'd write and tell you about a couple of things. yesterday was a good day...bumped into our old landlord Bob The Builder in a soho boozer - took him a while to remember but we got there in the end. The Daddy was around as well looking beautiful as ever...the old boys were back in town - like phil and scott all those years ago.....anyway me and the schneckle hot footed it up to High Wycombe to see a couple of bands...you should check 'em both out. first up were The Bridport Dagger...i say josef k mixed with a little gun club...very exciting and maybe a little dark around the edges. nice polka dot shirt to boot...check out their my space page and enjoy, follow, feed and keep warm. next up were Hatcham Social...i had to leave before the end of their set but i cannot shout from the roof tops enough about these fellas...go and get their singles, check their my space, see 'em live and get their album - it's wonderful...it's called 'you dig the tunnel, i'll hide the soil'...it's on fierce panda records and i think it's out or just about to come out.

on the record/cd/download front then there are a couple of things...the new jack white / alison the kills band is looking and sounding like my thing...i think they are called dead weather and you can get their single off itunes...it's dirty electronic / dirty guitars - a screaming mess of heaven...go buy. album due soon i believe..

the other thing to get is a 3 cd box set called Never Never Land - 83 texan nuggets from international artists records 1965 - 1970.....unlock your mind...a great collection.

anyway i need to get dressed, put on my red nose and dance the blues..

oh twitter me up as well..it's fun

i'm back from butlins

i keep trying to load up pictures but something is a wrong people...there's a ghost in the machine as the police once said - dunno why i know that - i don't really get that band. well where are we at in 1965 land ? i'm off to see the the metros in the studio tomorrow...they are recording 4 or 5 more tunes as possibles for the next album and then i'm off to see 'em on saturday in colchester - they are playing with florence and the machine who have just won a brit. the view are in ireland as i type...dublin and belfast - wish they could stay there longer but i believe they have a european tour to tackle. Toddla T's people are coming to meet me on wednesday to formulate plans about the boy from the steel city taking over.

my beloved crystal palace are having a bit of a nightmare at the moment - losing touch with the play off places and losing games and crowds decreasing and ..... i'll shut up now.

anyway if you wanna keep up with my ramblings i'm on facebook and twitter...join up and follow me and i'll promise to work out why the picture thing is not working - maybe the files are too big...

later my love,
